Manager/Principal Hydrogeologist
Errol Briese is the Managing Director/Principal Hydrogeologist of Australasian Groundwater and Environmental Consultants. He has over 30 years experience in Australia and throughout the South East Asia/Pacific region, the Middle East and South America working with governments and consulting engineers at all stages of project work; feasibility studies, design, construction, planning and management. Early technical experience in investigation, design and construction of groundwater supply systems in Australia was followed by experience as project hydrogeologist and project manager of rural water supply and sanitation projects in Malaysia and Burma. This was followed by positions of project co-ordinator, project hydrogeologist and team leader for various projects in Asia and the Pacific region involving feasibility/design, planning, scheduling, project management and groundwater engineering.
His fields of special competence include project management, project feasibility studies and design, rural water supply and sanitation in developing countries, environmental impact assessments (and groundwater contamination), groundwater exploration and aquifer evaluation, assessment of groundwater basins, design and construction of groundwater wells, dewatering studies, assessment of saline intrusion, groundwater remediation and expert witness.
