AGE uses numerical modelling to simulate groundwater flow systems and the transport of contaminants. The modelling is used to predict the impact of proposed developments on the groundwater regime, to aid in the design of sustainable groundwater supplies and dewatering or remediation systems, and as an on-going management tool throughout the life of the project for regulatory compliance. AGE's numerical modelling services include:
- Site investigations and development of conceptual models;
- Construction, calibration and validation of one, two and three dimensional numerical models;
- Use of both finite-difference (MODFLOW, MODFLOW SURFACT) and finite-element (FEFLOW) modelling codes;
- Simulation of flow and transport of contaminants;
- Predictive simulations of remedial actions;
- Modelling of geochemical degradation;
- High quality graphical output in 2D or 3D diagrams.
